blogging ethics//random restaurant girl,,Valentines Day!///Springgg Break?..doesanyoneseesnowmelting?

1) "Never publish information that is known to be inaccurate and if publishing questionable information, make it clear it's in doubt." I think that this ethic should be followed because if somone wrote a bunch of mean and cruel things and other people thought that it was true, than that person or store etc.. would than have a bad reputaion and wouldn't be looked apon possitivly. its like starting rumers which is never good. 2)"Be sensitive when seeking or using interviews or photographs of those affected by tragedy or grief." This is a really important ethic. It should always be followed because peoples feeling are important. Something could easily be taken the wrong way and people could get angry and upset. 3)"Never plagiarize." This should be followed because people should be who they are and not try to act or represent anyone else. If its a blog about you and your life whats the point of plagiarizing. People should be real and be themselves.
Yes, I think that its important to follow the code of ethics if you are a blogger. The code isn't that strict, its just trying to help people better themselves and not make fools of themselves.

Restaurant girl questions:
1) She broke all of the basic general codes of ethics. She wasn't honest and fair, which is the first one. She didn't minamize harm because she put information of her blog that showed disrespect. She also was not accountable becuase she changed the name and hid who she was.
2) I think that management probably found out about her blog from another person that worked with her or someone who knew that it was her blog and either dissliked her or just thought that what she was doing what wrong.
3)Yes, i think she should have been fired from her job. What she did was wrong and she didn't think about the consiquences. She wasn't respectful or proper. these people were paying her and all she did was talk bad about them.
4)No, i don't have any other blogs other than the one in class. If i did though, I would follow the ethics.

Valentines day, No i didn't recive any flowers, or chocolate, or a card for that matter! but oh well, my time will come. I don't really have a problem with Valentines day, I think that its cute that people care about eachother enought to share gifts and flowers and such at our age. I would be way to embaressed to ever send flowers to anyone, so props to them. I think that Valentines day is a good opportunaty for companies to make money, they should take full advantage of it, I would! Feburary break, I don't really have any plan, other than working and possibly skiing and snowboarding if the weather permits!
